What Does a Werewolf Do At a Furry Con?

Ysengrin Werewolf's Experiences At ConFurence Nine

Two Days After - Coming Down
and Going Home

Monday - Martin Luther King Day

We decide to hit Disneyland one more time, dispite the likely crowds. I do manage to take the picture with Beast that gets edited into the picture on the Index page; Beast was, well, hiding in an out-of-the way area of fantasyland, having escaped from his escort. Can't blaim him - if you were looking for costumed characters, you found him, but he didn't have the swarm of small children and the far more offensive pushy parents threatening to bury him.

That night we try Outback again - and this time actually eat there (Thanks, Dragon!) They're amused that we brought the LED-flasher drink coaster that singals your table is ready back from last night.

Wildwolf is still running around in costume when we get back to the hotel . . . lucky :) Silvermane is packed away.

Tuesday

Smash, Dragon and I pack up and head to LAX, after commenting on the large number of new mattresses being brought into the hotel. I check my action packers in - and much to my surprise, I have to sign a waiver of the airline's responsibility for them because they "aren't standard luggage." Never had to do that before, all the times it's been flown. I share the first leg of my flight (to Denver) with Mejeep and some other furs, but the leg to Dallas is half-empty (and with no other furs at all). Glad I carried my wolf puppet along.

The action packers show up in Dallas on time - but the locks are missing off of one. Nothing missing inside, but somebody had to work pretty hard to remove the locks. (That airline has since gone bankrupt)

We finally get back to Verdun about 11:00pm, and we get mugged by the four-legged wolves. It's good to be home!
