Folklore and History
Nice site with many case histories of European werewolves (and a few other shapeshifters).
Dispite the name, there are several transcribed stories from all over Europe, from medieval times to the present.
Modern Mythology
A very complete list with summaries. If it's a published story and has to do with werewolves, shapeshifting or any sort of physical transformation, it'll be listed here.
The comic strip (mis)adventures and tribulations of an angst ridden lycanthrope and his unusual twentysomething friends. This is the archive site; there are no new strips.
Modern Animal Folk
A small press zine devoted to positive portrayals of werewolves and other werecreatures. The lycanthropes appearing in these pages can be heroes, workers, diplomats, homemakers, or anything under the sun (or moon).

Individual Haunts

Molly Crenshaw's Haunted Forest manifests in the forest of Rotary Park in Wentzville, Missouri. Tyger Cowboy leads their pack of werewolves.

Cemeteries and Necropoli
everything you ever wanted to know about cemeteries and burial customs in the last two centuries.
Ysengrin and DarkFang's visit to the Silver Cliff, Colorado cemetery on the night of January 19, 2000. Time-lapse photos were taken, but no ghost lights were seen.
Not so much ghost-orientated as full of excellent photos of cemetery art and lots of background and history.
In 1888, amateur scientist Graham Hamrick bought two female cadavers from the West Virginia Hospital for the Insane. He successfully mummified them, and the two mummies, in glass-topped wooden coffins, are displayed in the Barbour County Historical Museum bathroom. You can see them in person for a buck a peek.
Also known as the Mary Ellis gravesite (there are actually seven burials), in New Brunswick, New Jersey, presently in the Lowes' Theater parking lot.

Fangoria has been around for years, and cerainly has the largest subscription of any American horror magazine. Good source for info.
Well-maintained site that covers horror movies and published fiction; has database of films and current fiction reviews.
Ghost stories haunt the moonlit backroads of the American South. Each month, The Moonlit Road brings you these ghost stories and other strange Southern folktales, told by the region's best storytellers.
"The netzine devoted to international horror and the supernatural." Looks like it was last updated in 2001.

I.A. Project Gutenberg is the oldest producer of free electronic books (eBooks or etexts) on the Internet.
H.P. Lovecraft and friends (the collected works of Lovecraft are no longer available at this site - they do seem to be here, however.).
Author of the Harry Potter series; more fantasy than horror. Nice web site, needs good bandwidth.
Author of the Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter series. The site's pretty skimpy. Ysengrin does like her shapeshifters, though.

Wonderful site for B-movies, past and present. Presented by Sub Rosa Studios, the site includes Dark Gallery articles as well as help on distributing and promoting your own B-movie productions.
For those of you who haven't heard of this yet. One of the best examples of a meme spread by the internet.

Home page of the CORPG (Competitive Online Role-Playing Game) Guild Wars; they're going for a no-monthly-fee structure. Over two million player accounts, and a very sharp looking game. Player characters are limited to humans only.
Blizzard's 200-lb gorilla of an MMORPG; likely has the largest player base of any online RPG to date. Has many interface simularities to Guild Wars (which is managed by former Blizzard staff) but a more cartoony feel. WoW is a far larger and more diverse world than GW, however, and seems to be a more social place to play. For the Horde!
Role Playing Games & LARPs
The Official Website of the d20 Game Engine and the Open Gaming License. These are the 'core rules' to the newest releases of D&D and Gamma World (among others).
Steve Jackson's Generic Universal RolePlaying System. The fourth edition should be out in August 2004.
World of Darkness franchise games (Vampire, Werewolf, Mage, Changeling, Wraith). Mostly story-driven RPGs and LARPs. Undergoing a game-world 'reset' at present, though nothing forces players to use or follow the story arc.
